Grandfather
Tang's Story by Ann Tompert. Grandfather Tang tells Little Soo a story about
two fox fairies, Chou and Wu Ling, who can change their shapes. They try to outdo each
other by changing into various animals. For instance, when Wu Ling changes himself into a
rabbit, Chou changes into a dog and chases him. Every time Wu Ling changes into a
different animal, Chou changes into one that can chase him. Their game goes further than
they imagine and they come close to losing their friendship.
Besides showing the value of
friendships, diagrams throughout the book encourage readers to create their own tangram
shapes. Illustrated with lovely watercolor paintings. Readers can make their own tangrams
to accompany the book or you can purchase a set of our
tangrams.
Paper, 34 pages.
